Yes, we offer mail order domestically across Australia, primarily via Australia Post and Express Post services. 

We also offer international deliveries to most countries around the world using DHL Express services

Delivery times vary, depending on the delivery location, the service selected to deliver the parcel and how quickly we are able to dispatch the parcel. We aim to ship orders on the same day if we receive the order prior to 10:00am. otherwise orders are typically dispatched the following day. 

Once dispatched, Australia Post deliveries to interstate capital cities usually take 3 – 4 business days and Express Post parcels usually take 1 – 2 days to reach capital cities. Parcels sent to country towns and rural areas will typically take a day or 2 longer. 

International deliveries sent via DHL are also dispatched as a priority and delivery times are typically very fast by International Standards. If you use the Shipping Cost calculator on the checkout page you will see a delivery time estimate displayed and these are usually fairly accurate

Shipping costs depend on the packaged size and weight of the products you have ordered, as well as the delivery destination. Use the Shipping Cost Calculator on our cart page to see the delivery cost for the goods you want to order.

Generally speaking, yes the inventory shown on our site is accurate. We use an inventory management system that updates stock availability in real time. 

That said it can pay to check in with us if you want to be certain, because there are various issues that can cause discrepancies, such as shoplifting, human error and data corruption.   

Yes we, specialize in Hobie kayaks and can perform repairs, service and accessory fit outs. 

If you are interested in getting something repaired, serviced or installed it is often best to contact us first rather than showing up at our showroom unannounced. This is because we operate on limited staff and aren’t always available to drop whatever we’re doing and perform this kind of work at the drop of a dime. 

In many cases you would be required to drop the kayak off with us and return some other date or time to collect when the job is finished. Some jobs can be completed on the same day and sometimes will only take a matter of minutes. Other jobs can take hours or even days. It all comes down to how difficult and fiddly the job is, how many jobs we’re already working on and how many staff we have available at the time. 

Note: if you need to bring in a kayak for us to work on, you can help speed up the process (and potentially save yourself some labor costs) by cleaning out the kayak hull and removing everything and anything that isn’t required to get the job done. The more crap we need to clean out of the hull and the more clutter that gets in our way, the longer it will take and the higher the labor cost is likely to be. We’ve written up some more notes on this topic here 

That depends on how labor intensive the job is. We charge $100 per hour plus the cost of whatever parts and materials are required to complete the job.  

Please note that we can’t always provide truly accurate estimates on what the cost outcome is likely to be. Sometimes we discover issues that weren’t obvious on first inspection. For example, we won’t know if a MirageDrive sprocket shaft needs to be replaced until we have disassembled and inspected it. Our estimates on costs for service, repair & fitouts are estimates only and are subject to change depending on what we uncover when we begin the job.

No. Unfortunately Hobie are experiencing massive supply issues and are struggling to catch up on back orders. Because of the world-wide shortages and supply delays the potential for backorders to grow out of control is high and managing this can get messy. 

Instead we use a product subscription form that appears on product pages that are showing items out of stock. If a product is not available a small form appears in place of an “add to cart” button. Include your name and email address into the fields and click “submit”. As soon as the product comes back into stock you will get an automatically sent email letting you know when it is available.
