Due to the size, weight and appendages involved with Hobie kayaks, delivery around the country can be tricky, which is why we only offer ‘click & collect’ as a shipping option in our shopping cart (Victorian residents only).
However, we often deliver kayaks around Melbourne and sometimes beyond into rural Victoria and even interstate, but generally only when it’s convenient for us to do so. We’re on the road quite often so we are sometimes able to deliver kayaks personally to areas in rural Victoria, South NSW, ACT and Tasmania. Contact us to inquire as to if, when and how much it would cost to have us deliver a kayak to you.
Whenever it’s not possible for us to deliver a kayak personally we almost always refer customers to The Kayak Courier, who have safely and reliably delivered hundreds of kayaks for us over the years. These guys business is dedicated exclusively to transporting kayaks, canoes and stand up paddle boards around Australia.
There’s not many courier services even willing to handle the shipping of kayaks and even less prepared to do it without the use of a forklift (the natural predator of kayak hulls), so we appreciate the kayak courier getting the job done. Their delivery costs are generally always cheaper than what larger courier companies would quote for the same job. The cost of delivery varies depending on the location and size and weight of the kayak in question.
The only catch with using the Kayak Courier is that they can’t be everywhere all the time, so delivery ETAs depend heavily on their schedule and when they next plan to be passing through your area.
