FPV-Power 50a Pulse Width Modulator V2
The latest version of the FPV-Power PWM (Pulse Width Modulator) comes with a forward/reverse switch and voltmeter to keep an eye on battery levels. Version 2 features new waterproof connection plugs. It still also features FPV’s standard magnetic kill switch and throttle control on a dial.
Increased run times for your kayak motor can be achieved with an FPV-Power PWM because it pulses the exact amount of power required to achieve the desired speed whereas the standard throttle on the motor controls speed by passing the power through resistors which burns off the excess energy and thereby decreasing the amount of power going to the motor. While there is no difference in efficiency at full throttle running with or without PWM, but the lower the throttle setting, the greater the difference it makes to increasing runtime.
A PWM also offers proportional throttle control which allows for precise adjustments to speed, allowing you to override speed setting limitations
