The Viper 10.5 is the best compact affordable kayak fishing package we have seen; a great all-rounder for anyone looking to chase fish in a variety of waterways, from Port Phillip Bay to the Murray River and everywhere in between. The Viper has the best lines of our compact fishing kayaks, featuring a ‘multi-chine’ design that provides the sweet-spot of stability and paddling efficiency.
It will paddle gracefully through choppy conditions better than boxier ‘hard-chine’ models in the same size class and provides better secondary stability than most kayaks in it’s class. With a 32″ beam the Viper is stable enough to be rock solid in flat water conditions but forgiving enough to be used confidently in choppier conditions. The 10.5′ length and sleek lines give the Viper solid performance advantages over similar looking fishing kayaks of around the same size.
The Viper also boasts a raised seat for comfort (essential for long days on the water) and loads of storage, including 3 sealed storage compartments. 2 flush mounted rod holders behind the seat for rod storage and a genuine Railblaza Rod Holder is also included, mounted into one of the gear tracks, which are fitted to the port and starboard gunnels. Foot-operated steering rudder makes turning a breeze.
