The Makana 100 is a compact pedal-powered fishing kayak. This 10-footer comes loaded with Vibe’s X-Drive pedal system for hands-free cruising, a rudder for tight turns, and a comfortable seat for extended aquatic adventures. Packed with features geared towards kayak anglers and a modest hull weight of just 25kg, this kayak is well suited to anyone looking for a capable fishing kayak that won’t break the bank, or your back!

The Vibe X-Drive is a lightweight and highly efficient pedal propulsion system designed for the Vibe Makana 100. Its intuitive design (heavily “inspired” by Hobie’s V2 MirageDrive) delivers smooth, hands-free propulsion, perfect for fishing or exploring. The X-Drive pedal system’s XD fins propel and accelerate smoothly and accelerate through either fresh or salt water.

Although the X-Drive doesn’t pedal backwards (see Makana 100 with Impulse Drive if you need to be able to pedal in reverse), the X-Drive system is a time proven design that is as reliable as it is performant. Anyone familiar with Hobie MirageDrives will be very familiar with the X-Drive, with easy-breezy maintenance and servicing.

With a width of 33″ the Makana offers a pleasantly stable ride and at 10′ length the Makana maneuvers effortlessly thanks to the rudder steering system. Featuring the Hero Seat 2.0 you’ll be high and dry and with gear storage underneath you won’t have to reach far to access your tackle.

Fitted with four customizable gear tracks, adding accessories such as fish finders and rod holders is a no-brainer, and with two flush-mount rod holders plus ample storage in the rear storage well the Makana is well equipped to secure your gear conveniently
