Fully seam sealed and constructed with lightweight yet durable 3-layer waterproof, windproof breathable fabric, Lovig Dry Pants will protect you from the elements when boating, kayaking, rock & surf fishing or wading
Launching a kayak without getting wet is the best way to start any day on the water – especially in the cooler months of the year, which is why we’re pleased to report that the newest version of our water and wind proof dry pants have arrived. These are very similar to our previous version, although we’ve made a few small changes in order to reduce weight slightly and keep the price attractive. Fully seam sealed, these will keep you dry from the waist down to the tip of your toes.
Lovig Kayak Dry Pants Features:
Sizes: Small, Medium, Large, XL
Notes on sizing: Lovig pants have an elasticized waist band that is designed to sit up high above the waist. Due to the elasticity of the waist band there is room for error in waist sizing. For example, a size small will fit someone up to a 32โณ waist, but with the tabs drawn in it will fit someone with a 28โณ waist. Leg length sizes are relatively long โ this makes more sense when you are wearing them while sitting in the kayak. We have never encountered anyone whoโs legs were too long for the pants.
The stocking foot section is also generously sized and we’ve never seen anyone with a foot too big to fit. It is recommended to wear some form of protective footwear over the top of the stocking foot (neoprene booties, sandals, an old pair of sneakers, etc). It is important to consider that the stocking foot will fill out considerably when stuffed into a boot and your toes may feel cramped in neat fitting footwear. For this reason it might pay to size up the footwear – ex; if you normally wear size 9 shoes, then a size 10 bootie / sandal might be more comfortable when worn with these pants.
Lovig Kayak Fishing Pants are designed to be worn high above the waist line with the adjustable neoprene section wrapped across your stomach (as opposed to across your waist). This might seem a little unnatural when you try them on for the first time but it starts to make sense when you sit down in your kayak.
While Lovig Waterproof Pants will offer protection from wind and water the fabric itself does not offer insulation. It is highly recommended to wear an insulating body layer underneath, especially in colder conditions. Polypropylene thermal Long Johns are a good choice for cold conditions as these offer excellent thermal properties and wick moisture away from skin. Merino wool is also highly recommended and are better suited to milder conditions. Unlike most Polypropolene fabrics, Merino wool has antibacterial properties and does an equally good job of insulating and moisture wicking.ย We also recommend Polypropolene or Merino wool socks. We strongly advise against the use of cotton fabrics as a body layer.
Usage & care instructions
To prevent inadvertent wear & tear it is important to use footwear over the top of the waterproof socks to protect against abrasion, especially when walking around. We recommend boating shoes or neoprene booties.
