After stumbling across a couple of quirks with the stock padeye installed into Hobie Compass kayaks we have modified a Hobie screw-in shock cord end with a stainless steel saddle bolted into it to provide extra strength for where the seat strap snap clip attaches to, as well as making it easier to do. Its a simple enough modification that adds a little quality-of-life to using the Hobie Compass.
