Any experienced kayak angler will appreciate the attention to detail that Vibe have put into the design and layout of the Shearwater, with an open deck that provides a spacious, padded standing area with a stand-assist strap and non-slip EVA deck padding for stability during stand-up casting. It includes four flush-mount and four horizontal rod holders with tip protectors, accommodating up to eight rods, ideal for trolling or keeping rods secure yet accessible. 

Four tackle tray slots (fitting PLANO 3600 trays) and an under-seat Versa Drawer keep gear organized. Front and rear cargo wells with bungee tie-downs and a Flex-Top cover secure larger items, while two side gear tracks allow customization for fishfinders or additional rod holders. Three sealed hatches simplify electronics wiring, and a removable fish-finder pod with transducer mount protects equipment.

Fitted with the propeller style Impulse Drive,  the Shearwater 125 can be pedaled forwards and backwards with ease, adding efficient propulsion and directional versatility to dominate any waters from lakes and rivers to estuary systems and coastal flats. The Impulse Drive’s propeller-powered system delivers forward propulsion and instant reverse, perfect for holding position in currents or maneuvering tight spots, keeping your hands free for fighting piscatorial foes. This makes the Impulse drive an ideal propulsion system for anglers who prefer the ability to back up quickly if required. Note, the Impulse drive is not recommended for users who often use their kayaks in shallow water.
